This game has positioned me to act on countless opportunities to better myself and those around me. I have built lifelong relationships and seen the world through cultures and people that I never imagined.
My goal is to give back everything this game has taught me to as many young players and coaches as possible. Keeping the constant learning cycle going.”

Nick Holmes has spent his life in the game of baseball as a player, professional coach, amateur & professional scout and, baseball consultant.
A former U.S. Marine, and Gulf War Veteran, Coach Holmes has worked with players, coaches, associations and international federations at every level from grassroots to the professional ranks in over 15 countries on four continents.
Stops along his journey include coaching and scouting with the Oakland A’s, Texas Rangers, Costa Rica National Team and most recently Major League Baseball’s Scouting Bureau.
He is the creator of World Baseball Experience.com, a writer, speaker, and host of the popular podcast Love the Game.Love the Dream where he interviews the baseball world’s brightest and most innovative minds proving you do not have to be a #1 Draft Pick or a future HOFer to have a successful career in the sport of baseball.
Currently, he is the Founder and International Scouting Director of Global Sports Metrics, Ltd. and serves as the Director of Player and Coach Development for Nanaimo Minor Baseball located where he lives with his wife Colette and his daughter Harper Grace in Nanaimo, BC on beautiful Vancouver Island.
